SUMMARY
The functional role of this position is to provide the highest level of
customer service ensuring that accurate, detailed information is
obtained and entered accurately into the computer system for every
reservation taken. Take all incoming calls in a timely manner which
will assist dispatch in delivering Safe, Prompt, Courteous,
Transportation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include
the following. Other duties may be assigned. Be logged into telephone
system in all appropriate groups whenever you are at your desk. If you
are unavailable to answer calls you should be "away, or logged out of
your phone. Answer all incoming calls with the established telephone
dialogue Verify all appropriate insurance information with
customer and the accuracy of any existing information if the client is
a current customer. Follow company procedures for billing trips,
obtaining authorizations for trips and collection of payment. Ask
supervisor if there is any doubt as to what the proper procedures are.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must learn the
use of the company computer systems and telephone systems. Must learn
the policies and procedures associated with Medicare, various private
insurance companies and the company rules governing the payment of
trips. Must be thorough and pay close attention to detail when entering
reservations, and be proactive in recognizing potential difficulties on
trips, and reporting them to the appropriate person.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High
School Diploma, Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
REASONING ABILITY Must be able to
determine customer eligibility using company guidelines and make
supervisor aware of potential problems.
