Community Partnerships & Collaborations

CTE is active in initiatives and projects that strengthen transportation and mobility services and increase employment opportunities. Partnerships and collaborations with which CTE is engaged include:

Human-Centered Transportation Summit
In September 2006, CTE co-hosted the Western New York Human-Centered Transportation Summit with Erie County Department of Senior Services. The first event of its kind in the region, this gathering brought together over 250 federal, state and local elected officials, transportation industry professionals, consumers and health and human service organizations from across the region. A second Summit is planned for late 2007.

Older Adult Mobility Pilot with Erie County Department of Senior Services
This is a pilot demonstration project works to supplement the transportation service provided by the Department of Senior Services Going Places Program. Transportation services under this agreement help older adults access essential medical, shopping, and other assistance as deemed necessary by the Erie County Department of Senior Services.
